Yoginii transforms women's healthcare in India with preventive, lifecycle-based support
A new health platform called Yoginii is tackling the gaps in women's healthcare in India. The service aims to move beyond reactive treatments by offering personalised, lifecycle-based support. Founder Kashika Malhotra noticed that many women prioritise others' needs over their own well-being, leaving their health concerns unaddressed until symptoms worsen.
Indian women today face rising rates of hormonal and metabolic disorders, including PCOS, thyroid issues, and insulin resistance. Studies show PCOS now affects between 9% and 36% of women of reproductive age, with higher numbers in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Urban lifestyles—such as processed food diets, chronic stress, poor sleep, and lack of exercise—are key contributors to these health patterns.
Yoginii was created to simplify a fragmented and overwhelming wellness ecosystem. The platform provides stage-specific education, personalised tracking, and continuous guidance. Its goal is to shift the focus from late-stage treatment to preventive care, helping women adopt healthier habits early. Preventive healthcare for women often gets delayed because symptoms are dismissed as normal. Instead of addressing root causes, the system tends to rely on quick fixes. Experts argue that investing in women's health is not just a medical issue but an economic and social necessity, as it impacts child health, workforce productivity, and community stability.
By encouraging proactive health management, Yoginii hopes to reduce the long-term burden on healthcare systems. The platform's approach could empower women to take charge of their well-being, leading to healthier lives and stronger communities. Early intervention and lifestyle changes remain critical in addressing the growing prevalence of disorders like PCOS and thyroid imbalances.
