NÖ Women's Run Celebrates 20 Years with Charity Focus in 2026

The NÖ Women’s Run will mark its 20th anniversary in 2026. The event remains one of Austria’s largest women’s running gatherings, attracting over 3,000 participants each year. This year’s motto, 'Running Against Cancer', highlights its long-standing commitment to health and charity. The race will take place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Lower Austria Sports Center in St. Pölten. Runners of all ages and fitness levels can join, with distances of 2.5 km, 5.2 km, or 9.8 km available, as well as a 5.2 km Nordic walking course. Children and teens are also welcome, with special kids’ runs and a dedicated Kids’ Park.

Proceeds from the event will support two causes: the Austrian Red Cross Stem Cell Registry and NÖ Cancer Aid. Last year, the run raised over €28,000 for cancer prevention. Early registration by June 30, 2026, includes a free performance shirt for participants. The NÖ Women’s Run combines sport, health awareness, and social responsibility. The 2026 edition will continue its tradition of uniting runners for a charitable cause. All funds raised will be divided equally between the two chosen organisations.
