The Saeed Ahmed Lootah Charitable Foundation held its second Board of Trustees meeting for 2026, chaired by Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim. The session focused on key developments at Dubai Medical University Hospital and Dubai Medical University, reviewing progress in operational readiness and future expansion plans. During the meeting, the Board examined the hospital’s operational readiness and the next phase of its development. Discussions covered the expansion of services, upgrades to medical facilities, and improvements to technical infrastructure. Governance systems for both the hospital and the university were also strengthened, with a focus on financial oversight and administrative preparedness.

The Board toured several key areas, including the AI-powered control room, the elderly care wing, and the VIP wing. Lieutenant General Tamim highlighted the need for a structured institutional approach and the integration of technology in decision-making. Engineer Yahya Saeed Ahmed Lootah stressed the importance of establishing strong institutional foundations before pursuing further expansion.

Additionally, the Board reviewed advancements at Dubai Medical University, particularly efforts to enhance academic and training programmes. A commitment was made to advance the Foundation’s ecosystem through a balanced strategy, combining governance, operational readiness, talent development, and advanced technologies. The meeting concluded with clear directives to strengthen the hospital’s and university’s infrastructure and governance. The Board’s decisions aim to ensure sustainable growth and improved service delivery across both institutions. These steps are expected to support the long-term development of Dubai Medical University Hospital and its affiliated programmes.
