Triplets, Whose Lives Doctors Fought For A Month, Discharged in Almaty

Premature triplets finally head home after life-saving NICU care

Triplets Rayana, Aylan, and Ayana have finally gone home after a month of medical care in Almaty. Born prematurely at 35 weeks, the siblings faced serious health challenges due to their low birth weights. Their family, now with five children, celebrated their safe return after weeks of treatment. The triplets arrived on May 7, weighing just 1,690 grams, 1,390 grams, and 1,660 grams. Their condition required immediate attention, placing them in the neonatal intensive care unit for the first week. A team of neonatologists, resuscitation specialists, and nurses provided round-the-clock care.

After stabilising, the infants were moved to a high-dependency ward. Over the following weeks, their health steadily improved, and their strength grew. By the end of the month, doctors confirmed they were ready to leave the hospital. Their mother thanked the staff at Almaty’s City Perinatal Center No. 2 for their expertise and dedication. The medical team’s efforts ensured the triplets overcame their fragile start and could return home safely.

The family now looks after their three newest members at home. The triplets’ recovery marks the end of a difficult but successful month of treatment. Their progress reflects the specialised care they received during their first weeks of life.
