First Christmas Eve baby born at St. Elisabeth and St. Barbara Hospital

St. Elisabeth and St. Barbara Hospital welcomed its first Christmas Eve baby of the year. Raphael was born at 10:23 a.m. on the morning of 24 December. Both mother and child are doing well after the delivery. Raphael arrived at the hospital’s Level 1 Perinatal Center, a facility known for its advanced obstetric services. He weighed 3,220 grams and measured 50 centimetres at birth.

Midwife Annekathrin Hofmeister was present during the delivery. The hospital ensures round-the-clock care with an experienced team of midwives, doctors, and nurses. Personalised and safe obstetric support remains available even on public holidays. Raphael is the first baby born at the hospital on Christmas Eve this year. His arrival highlights the facility’s commitment to continuous, high-quality care. The mother and newborn are recovering without complications.
