Nuevo León strengthens fight against gender violence with new offices

Samuel García and Mariana Rodríguez have inaugurated new offices for the Ministry for Women and the Violet Attention Center. The facilities are part of ongoing efforts to combat violence against women in the region. The new offices are situated on the second and seventh floors of the Civil Force Barracks. García and Rodríguez toured the space during the opening ceremony.

Rodríguez emphasised the agency’s coordinated work in supporting and preventing violence against women. The Ministry for Women was established specifically to address issues affecting women. Its Violet Attention Center focuses on tackling such violence directly. The state has reported a significant drop in violence-related cases. Over 92% fewer incidents, including femicides and aggravated femicides, have been recorded. The new facilities aim to sustain and strengthen these efforts.
