Vietnam's TIMEC Secures Loan to Expand Women-Led Healthcare Services
TIMEC, a women-founded and women-led healthcare provider in Vietnam, has secured a loan from Beacon Fund. The deal includes an impact-linked incentive, allowing TIMEC to lower interest rates by up to 2% if it improves patient satisfaction. This investment aims to strengthen the company’s facilities and expand its services. Founded in 2018, TIMEC set out to create a modern, compassionate, and affordable healthcare model for local communities. Over time, it has expanded its services to include gastrointestinal endoscopy, colorectal care, dentistry, rehabilitation, and corporate health screening. The company has earned a strong reputation among patients, corporate clients, and insurance partners after overcoming COVID-19 challenges.
The loan from Beacon Fund will provide resources to enhance clinical capabilities, develop the workforce, and broaden healthcare services. Vu Thi Phuong Nga, TIMEC’s founder and CEO, views Beacon Fund as a strategic partner in improving healthcare quality for Vietnam’s population.
The investment qualifies under three 2X Challenge criteria for gender-smart investing: ownership, leadership, and quality employment for women. With women holding over 30% of board positions and over 40% of management roles, TIMEC meets these standards. Australia’s government supported the deal through the Innovation Window, which targets financing gaps for women-owned and women-led businesses in Vietnam. The loan’s impact-linked mechanism encourages TIMEC to further improve patient satisfaction. The funding will help the company upgrade its infrastructure and expand access to healthcare. This partnership strengthens TIMEC’s position as a leading, women-driven healthcare provider in the region.
