Almaty Doctors Perform Rare C-Section and Fibroid Removal in One Life-Saving Surgery

Doctors in Almaty have successfully handled a rare and complex obstetric case. A 35-year-old patient with multiple uterine fibroids gave birth safely after a carefully planned procedure. The intervention combined a cesarean section with the removal of large fibroids. The Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital team faced a challenging scenario. The patient required a C-section alongside the removal of six fibroid tumours, some as large as 10 centimetres. Three obstetrician-gynaecologists worked together to ensure a safe delivery and surgery.

The procedure preserved the patient’s uterus while allowing the birth of a healthy baby. After the delivery, surgeons removed all six fibroids, ranging from 4 to 10 centimetres in size. The success highlighted the importance of modern techniques and teamwork in complex cases.
