Jenny Mollen's terrifying ordeal after weight loss drug triggered extreme bleeding

Actress Jenny Mollen was rushed to hospital after a severe medical episode linked to her weight loss medication. The incident involved extreme bleeding and fainting, with her then-husband Jason Biggs witnessing the ordeal. She returned home the following morning by 6 a.m. Mollen, who has hyperthyroidism and an autoimmune condition, had been taking Tirzepatide, a GLP-1 weight loss drug, along with other peptides. She experienced an unusually heavy menstrual flow, passing blood clots she described as the size of dinosaur eggs.

While trying to use the bathroom, she fainted due to a vasovagal reaction. Biggs saw her collapse and began screaming in panic. Despite this, Mollen did not seek immediate medical help and continued to experience clotting at home.

She fainted a second time shortly after. Biggs then took her to the hospital, where she was transported on a gurney. Mollen later stated she believed the drug had disrupted her hormones, triggering the episode. Mollen was discharged and returned home early the next day. The incident has raised concerns about the effects of GLP-1 drugs on individuals with pre-existing conditions. She has since linked the experience to her medication and hormonal imbalance.
