73-Year-Old Stroke Patient Saved by Rapid Telemedicine Response in Russia

Doctors in Ussuriysk have successfully treated a 73-year-old man after he suffered a stroke. The patient showed clear symptoms, including slurred speech and paralysis on the left side of his body. The man managed to raise the alarm by saying just one word: 'Bad'. An ambulance crew reached him in 19 minutes. Once on scene, medical workers used a telemedicine system to consult with a neurosurgeon.

The patient was then rushed to Vladivostok for emergency surgery. Doctors stress that rapid response is critical with strokes, as delays can worsen outcomes. The quick actions of the medical team and the use of telemedicine helped stabilise the patient. He was transported for urgent care to prevent further damage. Every minute saved made a difference in his treatment.
