Nizhny Novgorod expands free health screenings with new wellness center
A new Health Center has opened at City Polyclinic No. 30 in Nizhny Novgorod’s Sovetskiy District. It is the second such facility launched in the city this year, following the first in Kanavinsky District. The first Health Center began operations in late May at Polyclinic No. 4. Residents can access free screenings under compulsory health insurance at both locations. These include lung and vascular checks, body composition analysis, and skin cancer screenings with mole examinations.
The centre at Polyclinic No. 30 also offers programs to assess risks of premature aging and chronic diseases. After examinations, specialists provide personalised advice on nutrition, physical activity, and disease prevention. Yury Balashov, a member of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Legislative Assembly, was among the first to use the new services. The expansion of preventive medicine in the region will continue with plans to open a Healthy Longevity Center in Nizhny Novgorod. The new Health Center at Polyclinic No. 30 adds to the growing network of facilities supporting public health.
