West Midlands GP set to bring gynaecology-themed obstacle course to London

Dr Aziza Sesay brings gynaecology obstacle course to Everywoman Festival

The Everywoman Festival will be held at the Business Design Centre in Islington, north London. Dr Aziza Sesay, a family doctor and women’s health campaigner, will attend the event on 13 June with an interactive obstacle course. Dr Sesay works as a GP in the West Midlands. She has focused her campaign on destigmatising gynaecological terms and sparking open discussions about reproductive health. Her initiative, launched in May 2025, includes educational videos and branded merchandise.

At the festival, she will introduce a gynaecology-themed obstacle course. The activity aims to encourage conversations about women’s health and anatomy. Her efforts come as research by The Eve Appeal shows only 2% of people can name all five gynaecological cancers.

Each year, over 22,000 people in the UK receive a diagnosis of gynaecological cancer. Dr Sesay hopes her campaign will raise awareness and improve understanding of these conditions. The festival provides a platform for Dr Sesay’s campaign to reach a wider audience. Her obstacle course and educational materials will be part of the event. The initiative seeks to normalise discussions around women’s health and anatomy.
