Primorsky Krai cracks down on farmers over veterinary rule violations

Authorities in Primorsky Krai have stepped up enforcement of veterinary regulations for farm animals. Over 230 warnings were issued by Rosselkhoznadzor as of 15 June 2025 for refusing mandatory procedures. The total number of warnings in 2025 has already surpassed last year's count for vaccination and registration refusals. A meeting between Andrey Krasnoperyov and Kirill Khizhinsky recently addressed the need to maintain epizootic safety in the region. The discussion highlighted ongoing challenges with compliance among local farmers.

B.I. Nurmotov, a farmer from Pavlovka, received a warning for denying access to 69 head of cattle for leptospirosis vaccination and registration. He also violated rules by bringing in 72 head of cattle without notification and transporting 86 head out without proper certificates. In another case, Kh.Kh. Amonov from Grigoryevka was warned after 24 of his cattle went missing during a disease outbreak.

On 15 June 2025 alone, 11 warnings were issued for non-compliance with veterinary regulations. To improve adherence, authorities are running outreach campaigns to educate the public on following the rules. The crackdown reflects a broader effort to ensure animal health and prevent disease outbreaks. Farmers who fail to comply with vaccination, registration, or movement rules face warnings and potential penalties. The rise in warnings signals stricter monitoring of veterinary standards in the region.
