Daveigh Chase, Lilo & Stitch and The Ring star, dies at 35

Daveigh Chase, best known for her leading roles in Lilo & Stitch and The Ring, has died at the age of 35. She passed away on 16 June 2023. Her death was confirmed as natural, with AIDS and chronic polysubstance use listed as the official causes. Chase rose to fame in 2002 after starring in the animated film Lilo & Stitch and the horror movie The Ring. Her performance in The Ring earned her an MTV Movie Award for Best Villain.

She stepped back from acting after her final onscreen role in American Romance in 2016. Earlier this month, she was hospitalised in Los Angeles due to malnutrition. Before her death, she was diagnosed with meningitis and several serious blood infections.
