Magadan's new maternity hospital secures national funding for completion

A new maternity hospital in Magadan has been included in the National Welfare Fund's list of major infrastructure projects. Governor Sergei Nosov secured its place, ensuring funding for the final phase of construction. The facility is a key commitment under the United Russia party’s People’s Program. The hospital will span 20,000 square metres, featuring an 80-bed inpatient unit, a modern women’s clinic, and a day hospital. It will be equipped with advanced Russian-made medical technology, including cutting-edge neonatal care systems.

Stringent oversight by state and regulatory authorities will prevent corruption and ensure efficient use of funds. This monitoring guarantees the project stays on schedule and meets public needs.

The federal list also includes other critical projects, such as the Kamchatka Regional Hospital, children’s hospitals, and major road reconstructions across different regions. Once open, the hospital will provide high-standard care for expectant mothers. Its capacity will serve residents of Magadan, Chukotka, and Kamchatka, reducing maternal and infant mortality risks. The inclusion in the government’s list ensures uninterrupted funding for completion.
