United Russia honors medical workers with awards and public health initiatives

United Russia has marked Medical Workers’ Day by honouring healthcare professionals across the region. The party’s People’s Program also highlights its commitment to better healthcare, public health education, and wider access to medical services. Lawmakers and activists from United Russia congratulated doctors on their professional day. Maxim Rebrov, a deputy in the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Legislative Assembly, singled out the staff of City Clinical Hospital No. 3 for their dedication.

Yekaterina Yeryomeyeva, a physician at the Lesnaya Skazka children’s health camp, received a certificate of gratitude from the party. Lydia Kalinnikova, the region’s chief geriatrician, was also recognised for her work on the Senior Generation project and the Emergency Button initiative.

At the Forest Fairy Tale health camp, volunteer doctors from the Privolzhsky Research Medical University ran a first-aid seminar. Children practised assessing injuries, calling emergency services, and performing CPR on mannequins. Yury Balashov, United Russia’s regional coordinator, acknowledged the emotional resilience needed by medical workers, particularly those caring for young patients. The party’s People’s Program aims to raise healthcare standards and promote healthier living. Medical Workers’ Day served as an opportunity to celebrate those who contribute daily to these goals. The recognition and training events underscored the importance of both professional and public health education.
