Greeley's A Woman's Place Doubles Shelter Capacity for Domestic Violence Survivors

A Woman's Place has expanded its services in Greeley, Weld County, with two new facilities. The organisation now offers a safehouse and a community outreach building to better support domestic violence survivors. This marks one of the largest recent investments in such services for the area. The new safehouse significantly increases shelter capacity while improving ADA accessibility. It includes private bedrooms, dedicated children’s spaces, and communal areas designed for healing and stability. The community outreach building will focus on prevention education and crisis advocacy.

Diane Heldt, executive director of A Woman's Place, emphasised the importance of funding. She stated that every dollar raised ensures survivors have a safe place to seek help. The campaign aims to raise approximately $250,000 to fully complete the project and equip the facilities without debt.

Community members are encouraged to support the final phase of the A Woman's Place New Safehouse Campaign. The new facilities aim to broaden services and increase accessibility for those in need. The expansion doubles the organisation’s shelter capacity and enhances support for survivors. The remaining funds will allow the facilities to operate without financial burden. Both buildings are now open and ready to serve the community.
