Dr Ana Martins bridges medicine and media with Consulta Aberta podcast

Dr Ana Martins, born in Brussels in September 1993, has built a career rooted in both medicine and media. Her journey began with a childhood fascination for science and a drive to understand how things work. Today, she balances her work as a family doctor with hosting the popular podcast Consulta Aberta for SIC Notícias. From an early age, Martins showed a strong interest in science and medicine. This curiosity led her to study at NOVA Medical School in Lisbon. During her first year, she spent her summers shadowing doctors at Hospital de São José, gaining early exposure to clinical practice.
