Teen with Down syndrome shines in Netflix debut Color Book

A Colorado teenager with Down syndrome has made his movie debut on Netflix. Jeremiah Daniels stars in Color Book, a film that has already won over 30 awards at festivals. Its release coincides with Father’s Day weekend, a date he plans to celebrate with his own father. Jeremiah Daniels recently spoke on a panel to open the 6th International Conference of the Trisomy 21 Research Society. His father, Terrance Daniels, joined him and expressed surprise and gratitude for the opportunity.

The teenager has described his father as his superhero. He also claims a superpower of his own: running fast, just like the comic book character Mr. Flash. Beyond his film success, Jeremiah’s appearance at the conference highlights growing interest in Down syndrome research.
