Wiesbaden’s New All About Money Guide Empowers Women in Finance

Wiesbaden has launched a new financial guide called All About Money to help women navigate finance matters. The 30-plus-page brochure was unveiled on Thursday by Deputy Mayor Christiane Hinninger. It aims to tackle financial challenges linked to career breaks, part-time work, and the gender pay gap.

The project brought together municipal authorities, social groups, and economic partners. Key supporters included the European Central Bank (ECB), Deutsche Bundesbank, and initiatives like Finanztip and Verbraucherzentrale. These organisations contributed funding, expertise, and design input, while SCHUFA Holding AG, R+V Insurance, and the Social Service of Catholic Women also played a role.

The brochure covers everyday topics such as housing, family benefits, loans, debt, and digital fraud. Written in plain language, it is designed to be easy to understand. Early readers have praised its clear structure, concise information, and mobile-friendly digital version. Wiesbaden is distributing the guide directly to women’s groups, neighbourhood centres, and counselling services. The city’s goal is to boost financial inclusion by giving women practical tools to manage their finances.

The brochure is now available in print and online, with a format optimised for smartphones. Initial feedback highlights its usefulness, particularly for those balancing work, care duties, and financial planning. The initiative reflects Wiesbaden’s broader push to improve financial literacy among women.
