Vaccine Developer Overhauls LIMS to Boost Compliance and Data Accuracy
A long-standing vaccine developer and Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) has enhanced its laboratory operations through a recent LabVantage LIMS upgrade. The company, which has delivered critical therapies for over two decades, partnered with Clarkston to refine its data management and reporting systems across research, clinical, and quality control labs. The project aimed to address key challenges in reporting accuracy, dashboard efficiency, and compliance with international regulations. The client initially rolled out LabVantage LIMS across its R&D, clinical, and QC laboratories. However, issues soon emerged with reporting precision, dashboard responsiveness, and adherence to global regulatory requirements. To resolve these, the company brought in Clarkston for a targeted review and overhaul. Clarkston’s team optimized seven existing reports and four dashboards tied to environmental monitoring. They also developed 22 new reporting tools. These improvements streamlined data visibility and ensured compliance with strict industry standards. By refining the reporting framework, Clarkston helped the client transition smoothly into the next stage of its LIMS implementation. The updated system now supports better decision-making and regulatory preparedness for the company’s vaccine, antibiotic, and therapy production. The collaboration has strengthened the client’s digital infrastructure, ensuring more reliable data management and reporting. With 29 updated or newly created assets, the company now operates with greater efficiency and compliance. This upgrade also positions the organisation for further digital transformation in its laboratory operations.
