Twins born in car's front seat during frantic hospital dash

A woman gave birth to twins in the front seat of her partner’s car while rushing to hospital. Chloe Weston, from Staffordshire, had planned a C-section but went into labour unexpectedly a week early. Despite the dramatic arrival, she later called it her ‘easiest’ birth experience Weston’s waters broke a week before her scheduled C-section. Her partner drove her to Queen’s Hospital Burton, but the twins arrived before they reached the maternity ward. Koah and Kyro were born just one minute apart in the BMW’s front seat.

The babies were breech and transverse during a check-up on 14 November last year. After the car birth, a stranger provided blankets to keep them warm until paramedics arrived. Both were taken to hospital, where Kyro spent two days in intensive care due to low blood sugar. Koah weighed 6lb 4oz at birth, while Kyro was slightly smaller at 5lb 2oz. The twins remained in hospital for a week before going home with their parents

The unexpected car birth led to a week-long hospital stay for the twins. Kyro required extra care for low blood sugar but recovered well. Both mother and babies are now back at home in Staffordshire.
