Triplets born prematurely have been discharged from Regional Perinatal Center No. 1 in Turkestan Region.
A resident of the Saryagash District gave birth to three girls at just 33 weeks of pregnancy. Despite the complexity of the situation, the medical team acted swiftly and professionally.
The first baby was born weighing 2,400 grams, the second 2,230 grams, and the third 2,060 grams—good indicators for preterm infants. On their first day, the girls required ventilator support, but by the second day, they began breathing independently, a milestone doctors called a crucial positive sign.
Gradually, their condition stabilized: they transitioned to breastfeeding and digested their nutrition well.
Medical evaluations confirmed the triplets were in satisfactory health, allowing them to be discharged home. The girls have been named Zere, Dara, and Sara. The family now has six children—three sons and three daughters.
The successful care of the triplets is not only a joy for one family but also a testament to the region's systematic efforts in maternal and child health. Modern equipment, advanced medical technologies, and the expertise of healthcare professionals enable effective assistance even in complicated and preterm births.
Protecting maternal and child health, modernizing medical infrastructure, and expanding access to quality healthcare remain key strategic priorities for the region's development.
Just days ago, Turkestan Region officially launched the construction of a new 200-bed regional perinatal center in the village of Temirlan, Ordabasy District. Notably, the groundbreaking coincided with the birth of a true "little giant" at the district's central multispecialty hospital—a baby boy weighing 6,015 grams (13.3 lbs) and measuring 63 cm (25 in) in length.
In Saryagash, construction is also underway for a 300-bed multispecialty hospital, half of which will be dedicated to a perinatal center. This socially significant project is being implemented under the directive of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The new medical complex is expected to elevate the region's healthcare system to a qualitatively new level, ensuring accessible and modern medical care for residents.
The multispecialty hospital will serve not only Saryagash but also the populations of Keles, Maktaaral, Zhetysay, Kazygurt, and Shardara districts—home to over one million people combined.
