Ternary Therapeutics Secures Seed Funding to Revolutionize Immunology Treatments
Ternary Therapeutics, a London-based startup, has secured seed funding from daphni, a European venture capital firm. The company, founded in October 2024, focuses on developing treatments for immunological disorders using a novel molecular glue platform. This investment marks a growing interest in techbio innovations across Europe.
Ternary was established in late 2024 with lab facilities at Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst. Within months, it had already built a preclinical pipeline targeting immunological diseases. The seed round, though smaller than typical techbio investments, comes at a time when investors remain keen on backing unique platform technologies—especially in molecular glues.
The funding comes from daphni's Blue fund, which closed at €260 million in January 2026. This fund supports early-stage companies in biology, chemistry, physics, and life sciences, with a focus on startups emerging from European research. Ternary's approach combines physics-informed AI, molecular dynamics, and rapid lab testing to reduce reliance on chance in drug discovery. To strengthen its leadership, Ternary has added Ian Taylor, former president of R&D at Arvinas, to its board. His expertise in targeted protein degradation adds weight to the company's ambitions. The investment reflects broader confidence in European techbio platforms tackling complex drug development challenges.
With fresh funding and a strengthened board, Ternary is positioned to advance its molecular glue platform. The company's rapid progress in immunological research highlights its potential in drug discovery. This deal also underscores Europe's expanding role in supporting cutting-edge biotech innovation.
