Actress Tanja Lanäus has spoken openly about her recovery after a serious injury in spring 2025. The 52-year-old, known for her role in Storm of Love, broke several vertebrae and faced months of physical challenges. Now, she reflects on her journey back to health—and to the screen. The accident left Lanäus with severe limitations. Initially, she feared she might require long-term care. Doctors warned her recovery would take time, but she was determined to return to work.

Against medical advice, she went back to filming *Storm of Love* after just two months. The production team supported her with adjustments, allowing only three scenes a day while she wore a back brace. Relearning to walk and even breathe properly became part of her daily routine. Before her injury, Lanäus had a long career in television and modelling. She played Juliane Roth in *Forbidden Love* and later joined *Storm of Love* as Yvonne Klee in January 2022. She also appeared in *Playboy* three times—first in 1999, again in 2019, and most recently in the September 2023 issue at age 52. Now, she appreciates small joys again, like laughing without pain.
