Sverdlovsk Region welcomes 634 newborns in a single week

The Sverdlovsk Region has recorded a busy week for new arrivals. Local health officials reported 634 births in the past seven days. The figures include a mix of first-time and experienced mothers, with one woman welcoming her eighth child.

Among the 634 newborns, 329 were boys and 305 were girls. Nine sets of twins also arrived during this period. The majority of mothers, 444 in total, were under 35 years old, while 181 were over 35.

The data also highlighted family growth trends. A total of 188 babies were second children for their mothers. One standout case involved a woman who gave birth for the eighth time.

The latest figures provide a snapshot of birth patterns in the Sverdlovsk Region. With nearly two-thirds of mothers under 35, the data reflects ongoing demographic activity. Officials have not yet released comparisons to previous years.
