Pampanga Governor Champions Precision Care at Surgeons' Convention

Pampanga Governor Lilia 'Nanay' Pineda addressed surgeons and healthcare workers at the 52nd Philippine College of Surgeons Midyear Convention. Held at the SMX Convention Center in Clark Freeport, the event carried the theme Precision Care in Surgery by Cultivating Leadership and Competence. Among the attendees were former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Board Member Kaye Naguit, and medical professionals from across the region. During her speech, Governor Pineda praised the critical role of surgeons and healthcare staff in enhancing public health. She emphasised how their efforts directly improve community well-being and patient care. The governor also highlighted the province’s commitment to expanding medical services, pointing to the newly established Pampanga Provincial Hospital-Clark—the first government hospital inside a freeport zone.

Pineda defined precision care as more than just technical skill. She described it as preventing unnecessary suffering, safeguarding patients’ dignity, and offering hope through compassionate service. The governor also referenced the Alagang Nanay Preventive Health Care Program, which focuses on early disease detection, prevention, and accessible treatment for residents. Before concluding, she expressed gratitude to medical professionals for their dedication and sacrifices. Their work, she noted, ensures quality healthcare reaches Filipinos across Pampanga and beyond.
