New Program Helps Cosmetics Brands Tackle Surge in Adverse Event Reports
A sharp rise in serious adverse events linked to cosmetics has led to a new support program for brands. Over 26,000 incidents were reported to the FDA in 2024—five times more than in 2023. To address the challenge, Registrar Corp and Denver Broncos Health have launched the Adverse Events Protection Program.
The FDA now mandates that cosmetics companies investigate and report serious incidents within 15 days. Many brands find it difficult to gather the required details and submit reports on time.
In response, Registrar Corp, based in Hampton, Virginia, has partnered with Denver Broncos Health to offer a dedicated solution. The Adverse Events Protection Program combines software for managing adverse events with medical expertise from Denver Broncos Health's clinical team. The non-profit healthcare provider, based in Colorado, has over 65 years of experience through its Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Safety unit.
Registrar Corp serves more than 30,000 clients across 180 countries. The program aims to simplify compliance for brands facing stricter reporting rules. Further details are available on RegistrarCorp.com.
The new program provides tools and expert guidance for cosmetics brands dealing with adverse event reports. With the FDA's tighter deadlines, companies now have a structured way to meet requirements. The initiative follows a significant increase in reported incidents over the past year.
