New Documentary The (M) Factor 2 Unveils the Hidden Struggles of Perimenopause in Cyprus Premiere
A new documentary exploring the often-overlooked stage of perimenopause will premiere in Cyprus on March 28, 2026. The (M) Factor 2: Before the Pause sheds light on a condition that affects millions of women but remains widely misunderstood. The event will feature a film screening, expert discussions, and a live link with the executive producer. Directed by Jacoba Atlas and produced by Tamsen Fadal, Denise Pines, and Joanne LaMarca Mathisen, the film examines perimenopause—a phase that can begin in a woman's mid-30s and last up to ten years. Through interviews with women and men, it explores how this transition impacts relationships and family life.
The Cyprus premiere is co-hosted by AIPFE Cyprus-Women of Europe and Menopause Support Cyprus. Sponsors include the University of Nicosia Medical School, GNORA Communication Consultants, and MSJ Iacovides. Registration opens at 2:15 PM, with the screening starting at 3:00 PM. After the film, attendees can join expert-led roundtables and a live Q&A with the executive producer. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
The event aims to raise awareness of perimenopause, a condition frequently underdiagnosed despite its widespread effects. By combining film, expert insights, and audience discussion, the organisers hope to improve understanding and support for those experiencing it.
