Myriad Genetics reports steady revenue and plans three new diagnostic tests for 2026

Myriad Genetics, Inc. has released its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2025. The company reported steady revenue and highlighted growth in key diagnostic tests. Three new tests are also set to launch in 2026, aiming to boost future performance.

The company's revenue for the fourth quarter of 2025 reached $209.8 million, matching the same period in 2024. Adjusting for an $8.1 million headwind, this figure represents a 4% year-over-year increase. Full-year revenue for 2025 totalled $824.5 million, a 2% decline from 2024—but when excluding headwinds, it grew by 2%.

Gross margin remained stable at 70.0%, unchanged from the previous quarter. The GAAP net loss for the quarter was $7.9 million, or $0.08 per share. However, adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.04, with adjusted EBITDA at $14.3 million.

Test volume growth drove performance, particularly in Prolaris prostate cancer testing (up 12%), hereditary cancer testing (up 9%), and GeneSight mental health testing (up 9%). The company also noted strong momentum in these areas by the end of 2025.

Looking ahead, Myriad Genetics plans to launch three new tests in 2026: Precise MRD, an AI-enhanced Prolaris prostate cancer test with PATHOMIQ, and the FirstGene prenatal screen. These are expected to support clinical decisions starting in 2026 and contribute to growth in 2027.

Since 2023, the company has introduced three major tests: the enhanced myRisk Hereditary Cancer test (2023), the expanded Prequel Prenatal Screen (2024), and the FDA-approved myChoice CDx companion diagnostic (2025). The myChoice CDx received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation in 2024 and launched in partnership with leading oncology centres in 2025.

Prenatal testing growth is also expected to pick up in the coming quarters.

Myriad Genetics closed 2025 with progress in key diagnostic areas and a pipeline of new tests for 2026. The company's financial results show stability in revenue and margins, despite some headwinds. Future growth will depend on the success of upcoming test launches and continued demand in cancer and mental health diagnostics.
