Moscow residents battle a surging rat infestation near apartments

A vacant lot beside the Gusarskaya Ballada residential complex in Moscow Oblast has become overrun with rats. The rodents have taken over the wasteland, digging burrows and scurrying between nests in large numbers.

The infestation has spread across the empty plot next to the apartment buildings. Residents have noticed the rats moving freely around the area, drawn by its neglected state.

The rodents appear to favour the location due to a nearby heating main. The warmth from the pipes provides ideal conditions for nesting and breeding.

The problem persists as the rats continue to multiply in the unmaintained space. Local authorities have yet to address the issue, leaving residents concerned about the growing infestation.
