Marburg Hosts Career Fair to Empower Women in the Workforce

A career information event for women will take place in Marburg on Monday, February 9, 2025. Titled Seize Your Opportunities, the event aims to help women explore career options, access job support, and connect with local services. Organisers have designed it for those looking to re-enter the workforce or plan their next professional steps. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the main building of the Marburg district administration (Im Lichtenholz 60, Marburg-Cappel), specifically in rooms F001 and F002. It brings together eleven partners from the Women and Work Network, including the Federal Employment Agency, the Marburg-Biedenkopf District Job Center, and the local district authority. These organisations will present a range of programs focused on activation, qualification, and professional integration.

Attendees can expect one-on-one exchanges with experts, along with information on further education, application training, and coaching. Many services on offer will be available regardless of benefit status, ensuring broad accessibility. While the event particularly targets women receiving citizen’s allowance, it remains open to all women seeking career guidance or job search assistance. The *Women and Work* Network emphasises equal opportunities and the advancement of women in the workforce. By centralising key services, the event aims to simplify access to support systems for professional development and employment.

The Seize Your Opportunities event provides a platform for women to explore career resources and connect with local support networks. Through direct consultations and tailored programs, participants can access practical tools for entering or re-entering the job market. The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen women’s professional participation in the region.
