Manchester's RMC Raises £24K for State-of-the-Art Surgical Wing at Charity Gala

Regional Medical Center (RMC) has raised over £24,000 for a new surgical addition in Manchester. The funds came from the annual Gratitude Gala, held on 17 April at Rustic Creek in Hopkinton. The event brought together supporters, volunteers and local musicians to back the hospital’s expansion plans.

The gala featured performances by local artists Darrell, Karen and Connie. Valerie Lindsay, RMC’s Volunteer Services and Fund Development Manager, thanked donors, sponsors, staff and attendees for their contributions. She highlighted how the money would help build an 18,400 square foot surgical unit designed for future generations.

The new addition will include larger pre-op and post-op areas to improve patient privacy and recovery. Spacious surgical suites will meet modern best-practice standards and easily house robotic systems and advanced equipment. RMC’s goal is to provide the best possible surgery experience in Manchester. The funds will directly support the construction of the new surgical wing. Once complete, the facility will offer enhanced care with updated technology and more comfortable recovery spaces. The project aligns with RMC’s long-term commitment to improving healthcare in the region.
