Gas explosion rocks Pervouralsk apartment building, injuring three residents

A gas explosion has struck a residential building in Pervouralsk, triggering a major emergency response. The blast happened in an apartment on Ilyicha Street, sparking a fire that forced evacuations. Three people were injured, but no deaths have been reported so far.

The explosion took place in a four-storey apartment block, causing flames to break out. Firefighters and rescue teams rushed to the scene, with 52 personnel and 17 vehicles deployed. Among the injured, one woman suffered moderate burns and was taken to hospital, while the others received medical care on-site.

Ten residents, including three children, were evacuated as a precaution. Authorities are now setting up a temporary shelter for those displaced by the incident. Governor Denis Pasler declared an emergency response, with the city’s head personally overseeing the operation.

The situation remains under control, with emergency crews continuing to manage the aftermath. Displaced residents will be housed in temporary accommodation while investigations proceed. Further updates are expected as authorities assess the cause of the explosion.
