Gabit Secures ₹36.2 Cr to Fuel AI-Powered Wearable Healthtech Expansion

Gabit, a wearable healthtech startup, has secured ₹36.2 Cr (around $3.7 Mn) in a new funding round. The investment comes as India’s smart wearables market continues to expand, with a projected value of $10.26 Bn by 2031. The company specialises in AI-driven wellness solutions, including a titanium smart ring that monitors over 150 health metrics.

Founded in 2022 by Gaurav Gupta and Arpana Shahi, Gabit offers smart wearables, AI-powered coaching, and personalised wellness products. Its flagship device, a titanium smart ring, tracks health markers such as fitness, sleep, and stress levels. A companion app provides users with AI-generated insights and tailored fitness plans.

The latest funding round was led by angel investors, including Deepak Gupta, Arnab Basu, Manav Gupta, and Vilas Dhar. In March and April 2023, Gabit’s board approved the allotment of 8,847 pre-Series A5 CCPS, raising a total of ₹36.2 Cr. With this infusion, the company’s total funding now exceeds $12.7 Mn, excluding an undisclosed round from investors Ranbir Kapoor and Badshah in 2023. Gabit has also expanded its product range through acquisitions. In December 2022, it purchased Sweden-based nutrition brand Näck to bolster its supplements and nutrition offerings. The move aligns with the company’s focus on integrated wellness solutions. The startup operates in a competitive market, facing rivals like Ultrahuman, Muse Wearables, and HAR. India’s wearable healthtech sector is shifting beyond basic fitness trackers, with a growing emphasis on AI-powered preventive healthcare and holistic wellness platforms.

The fresh funding will support Gabit’s growth in a rapidly evolving industry. The company’s smart ring and AI-driven platform cater to increasing demand for advanced health monitoring. With expanded offerings and investor backing, Gabit aims to strengthen its position in India’s wearable healthtech market.
