Free Self-Defense Classes Empower Women in South Jersey

A South Jersey nonprofit is helping women build confidence through free self-defence training. Strike It Strong runs classes every other month, with its annual Willingboro session now in its third year. The organisation also provides practical support for women facing financial hardship.

Strike It Strong teaches women techniques to stay safe and feel empowered. The classes focus on awareness, preparedness, and reclaiming personal strength. Participants train in a supportive environment designed to boost their confidence.

Beyond self-defence, the nonprofit launched the *Step Up Fund* in memory of co-founder Cheryl Squadrito's sister, Marilyn. This fund assists women with essential needs, such as apartment repairs, children's gifts, or clothing. The organisation partners with other agencies to extend its reach. The Willingboro class, now a yearly event, continues to grow. Strike It Strong remains committed to offering free training and support across New Jersey.

The nonprofit's free classes and Step Up Fund provide both skills and practical help. Women in the programme gain tools for safety and access to resources in difficult times. Strike It Strong's work in Willingboro and beyond remains focused on empowerment and community support.
