Free health camp in Kuwait uncovers hidden medical risks for 500 residents

A free health check-up camp held on November 21, 2025, at ICSK Junior in Salmiya provided vital medical services to over 500 residents. Organised by the UPNRI Forum Kuwait and the Forum of Indian Doctors, the main event offered consultations, diagnostic tests, and specialist care at no cost. More than 125 volunteers and several eventbrite sponsors contributed to its success.

The camp was officially opened by H.E. Paramita Tripathi, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, who praised the organisers for their commitment to public health. Under the leadership of President Zeeshan Ullah Khan and General Secretary Shafaq Mumtaz, the event brought together a medical team of 59 doctors, 12 dentists, and 23 nurses. They covered specialties such as general medicine, cardiology, dentistry, ophthalmology, oncology, orthopaedics, and preventive care.

Over the course of the day, the team conducted over 85 ultrasound scans, more than 100 cholesterol tests, and multiple ECGs. Comprehensive clinical assessments were also carried out. The camp introduced two new services for UPNRI: on-site 2D echocardiography evaluations and initial mental health counselling sessions. The screenings revealed several previously undetected medical conditions. These included critically high blood pressure, elevated blood sugar and cholesterol, cardiac conduction abnormalities, gallbladder stones, and uterine fibroids. Other findings involved hydronephrosis, bladder stones, PCOD, DUB, tennis elbow, presbyopia, and various skin conditions. Additionally, 37 women were referred for further tests after suspicious breast-screening results.

The event highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare, uncovering multiple health concerns among participants. Free consultations and diagnostic services reached hundreds of residents, with support from volunteers, sponsors, and the ICSK Management. Organisers plan to continue similar initiatives in the future.
