Free expert event tackles modern treatments for back pain and osteoporosis
Back pain affects nearly everyone at some stage, often caused by poor posture or physical strain. To help those suffering, Braunschweig Municipal Hospital (skbs) is hosting a free information event on modern treatments for spinal conditions and osteoporosis. The event takes place on Wednesday, May 27, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the offices of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, An der Petrikirche 1. Prof. Dr. Klaus Zweckberger, head of neurosurgery at skbs, will open the session with introductory remarks.
Several specialists will then present on key topics. Prof. Dr. Klaus Zweckberger will explain modern treatment options for herniated discs. Senior Physician Antoine Abboud will focus on spinal stenosis, detailing how patients can walk more comfortably with less pain after treatment. Senior Physician Alina Bernhardt will compare conservative and surgical approaches to managing back pain. Senior Physician Majed El Sayed Kassem will discuss complications linked to osteoporosis. Meanwhile, Senior Physician Dr. Ernst Rzesacz will outline the necessary steps when vertebral fractures occur. After the presentations, skbs experts will be available to answer questions and engage in discussions with attendees.
The event aims to provide clear, practical information on managing spinal and bone health. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of available treatments and the chance to speak directly with specialists. No registration is required for this public session.
