DNP and IIT Hyderabad team up to revolutionize wireless EV charging

Dai Nippon Printing (DNP) has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) to advance research in wireless charging for electric vehicles (EVs). The collaboration will also explore innovations in medical healthcare. DNP plans to set up a dedicated base at IITH's Technology Research Park to drive these projects forward.

The partnership will focus on developing wireless power supply systems for EVs. DNP's existing sheet-type coil technology will serve as the foundation for this work. The company already leads globally in producing battery pouches for EV lithium-ion batteries.

Beyond mobility, the agreement includes joint research in medical healthcare. Both organisations aim to speed up R&D by combining DNP's technical expertise with IITH's academic strengths. The goal is to bring new solutions to market faster. DNP is also investing in next-generation mobility technologies. These efforts align with future trends like autonomous driving and advanced transport systems. The new research base at IITH's campus will support these initiatives.

The collaboration will see DNP establish a permanent presence at IITH's Technology Research Park. Wireless EV charging and healthcare innovations are the key priorities. If successful, the partnership could accelerate the adoption of new technologies in both fields.
