CHOSEN, a skincare brand focused on melanin-rich Indian skin, has secured $5 million in a Series A funding round. The investment highlights growing confidence in its science-backed approach to dermatology-led formulations and nutraceuticals. The funding round was led by Fireside Ventures, with contributions from BOLD (L'Oréal’s corporate venture fund), Alkemi Growth Capital, and angel investor Avnish Anand. Several dermatologists also joined as backers. ISN first reported the fundraise on March 5, 2026.
CHOSEN specialises in topical treatments and supplements designed for Indian skin, addressing four key areas of ageing. Its products follow a clinic-to-consumer model, developed in collaboration with dermatologists. Varun Varma, Principal at Fireside Ventures, praised the brand’s blend of clinical rigour and trust-driven market strategy. Samantha ETIENNE, Global General Manager of BOLD, highlighted CHOSEN’s unique positioning in the Indian beauty sector. Dr Renita Rajan, Founder and CEO, stated that the funding affirms the brand’s science-first philosophy. The new capital will expand R&D, broaden the product range, scale its Centre of Excellence, and attract top talent.
The $5 million investment will accelerate CHOSEN’s growth in dermatologist-backed skincare. With backing from major venture funds and industry experts, the brand is set to strengthen its research and market presence. The funding also underscores rising demand for specialised solutions in India’s beauty industry.
