Berlin's Spandau Welcomes a Modern Care Hub with 240 Spaces by 2025
A major new residential and care facility is taking shape in Berlin's Spandau district. Named Vitanas Neuendorfer Hof, the project will provide 240 spaces for assisted living, inpatient care, and occupational therapy programs. Developer Ten Brinke is leading the construction, which began in early 2024 and is set to finish by April 2025 calendar.
The 5,086-square-meter site along Neuendorfer Straße is being transformed into a modern, barrier-free complex. Once complete, it will offer 120 assisted housing units, 120 inpatient care spaces, and an occupational therapy program for 60 people. The design includes a central industrial kitchen to supply meals across the entire facility.
Construction is progressing on schedule, with façades nearly finished and interior work underway. Vitanas GmbH will manage care services, catering, and administration on-site. The company plans to occupy the care centre as early as spring 2025, ahead of full completion.
The project replaces an older institution in Spandau's Kladow district. It aims to meet Berlin's rising need for integrated care while promoting social inclusion. PATRIZIA will take ownership of the building under a 30-year lease agreement with Vitanas.
Vitanas Neuendorfer Hof will create new jobs in care and support, giving Spandau's local economy a boost. The facility's mix of housing, care, and occupational therapy services will provide a modern solution for Berlin's ageing population. Full operations are expected to begin by April 2026.
