Alumis stock soars 60% after breakthrough psoriasis drug trial success

Alumis has witnessed a significant boost in its stock market value following impressive clinical trial results for its psoriasis drug, envudeucitinib. The company's shares surged by 60% in a single day upon the news, and over the past six months, the stock has appreciated by 144%.

The positive market reaction was sparked by envudeucitinib meeting all primary and secondary objectives in two Phase 3 trials. By Week 24, 65% of patients experienced at least a 90% improvement in their psoriasis symptoms, with over 40% achieving complete skin clearance. The drug also demonstrated quicker effects than competitors, with a noticeable separation from placebo as early as Week 4.

Financial firm Baird responded by elevating its price target for Alumis from $17 to $35. Analysts lauded the results as 'stellar' and described envudeucitinib as a potential 'best-in-disease' treatment. The company now plans to submit a New Drug Application to the FDA in the second half of 2026. Alumis is also exploring envudeucitinib for systemic lupus erythematosus, with Phase 2b results for this indication anticipated in the third quarter of 2026.

The successful trials have placed envudeucitinib as a promising new option for psoriasis patients. With a regulatory submission planned for 2026, Alumis is inching closer to bringing the drug to market. The company's stock market performance mirrors growing confidence in its pipeline.
